Why Was My Photo Rejected?

Your profile photo is one of the first things other members notice. To help keep Callbeck Dating safe, welcoming, and authentic, every uploaded photo must meet our Community Guidelines.

If your photo was rejected, don't worry—it usually means it didn't meet one or more of the requirements below.

Common Reasons Photos Are Rejected

The Photo Is Blurry or Low Quality

Photos should be clear, well-lit, and easy to see. Avoid blurry, pixelated, or very dark images.

Your Face Isn't Clearly Visible

Your primary profile photo should clearly show your face.

Examples that may be rejected include:

• Face hidden by sunglasses or hats
• Face covered by filters or stickers
• Photos taken from too far away
• Heavy shadows or poor lighting

The Photo Contains Other People

Your main profile photo should feature only you.

Group photos can make it difficult for other members to know which person you are.

Inappropriate Content

• Photos containing any of the following may be rejected:
• Nudity or sexually suggestive images
• Offensive gestures
• Violence or graphic content
• Illegal activity
• Hate symbols or offensive material

Copyrighted or Fake Images

Only upload photos that belong to you.

Do not use:

• Celebrity photos
• Images downloaded from the internet
• AI-generated images pretending to be you
• Stock photos
• Cartoons or avatars as your main profile photo

Excessive Editing or Filters

Avoid photos that are heavily edited or altered.

Photos should accurately represent how you look today.

Text, Logos, or Advertisements

Photos that contain large amounts of text, business advertising, watermarks, or promotional graphics may be rejected.

Tips for an Approved Photo

For the best results:

• Use a recent photo of yourself.
• Smile and look at the camera.
• Choose good natural lighting.
• Use a high-resolution image.
• Make yourself the main focus of the photo.
• Keep the background simple and uncluttered.

What Should I Do Next?

If your photo was rejected:

1. Choose a different photo that meets our guidelines.
2. Upload the new photo from your profile.
3. Wait for approval if photo moderation is enabled.

Most members are able to upload an approved photo on their next attempt.
